rules of tchoukball

The rules of tchoukball are set by the FITB (Federation Internationale de Tchoukball). In the United States, the English version of the rules controls all aspects of play. In addition to the rules, the FITB has released an official interpretation of the rules and a guide to the referee's gestures. These documents are short and should be read together when learning how to play or preparing for a match or a tournament.

In addition, the FITB has provided official rules for Beach Tchoukball and Wheelchair Tchoukball.

The rules are best understood through live demonstration, but if you are unable to attend a USTBA event, we welcome you to view one of the many demonstrations of the sport on YouTube, or check out our Video page.

The USTBA hopes to produce an instructional video soon.
